It's all in the name

Returning back to work is hectic . Some of the lighter moments.

I was trying to sort an issue with pricing a stoxx index. As always, I drill down to its constituent stocks to look into the issue . There I found the troublemaker , ANTO.L , well , well, well, of course your name says it all !! 

Water is precious !!

This is my everyday phrase , I grew up hearing this , and now I freely use it on my children. 

Of course , children being children love to stand under the shower for long . I'm duty bound to remind them that water is precious , and then ensues a whole episode of fresh water reserves , recycled water , sea water and how the future gen might not have enough water .

I'm pretty sure that I've instilled enough fear of living without fresh water . It's just enough to make them turn off the shower when they are done !! 

Pa , tough world da !! 

Wow wow wow!!

We checked out this really wonderful unit at H2O Residences , pics attached . 

The view is absolutely splendid , the river the pool and the clubhouse , looks so perfect. 

This is the hire from the balcony , and also happens to be the view from almost every room. Absolutely love this . 

As always , good things are never at easy reach and comes with an unaffordable Price tag. Heart pain !!

Another little angel

My dear brother and SIL were blessed with a little baby . Another sweet angel . 

House Hunting

Today we went out house hunting again. Yeah, like once again. 

This time we went back to the River Sails project , it's our second visit there. The house is really nice with small but just-enough sized rooms. The layout is good. The marble floors look appealing , the master bathroom too comes with marbles and a full sized window, don't ask me why. The house has a large foyer , leading into the living room and the kitchen. The kitchen has a utility room , with a drying ledge and a washroom. 

The master bedroom comes with 4 door cupboard , space enough for a queen/ king size bed and full sized windows. 

The other bedrooms are big enough to fit a queen sized bed in or two kid sized beds in. The nearest school is a good 10-15 mins walk away. There is no MRT nearby , no malls . The pungol park is just across the road , a river is adjacent to the project . Nearby , there are quite a few projects like the riversound Residences , Boat house , etc . Next , we decided to check out The Luxurie in Sengkang. We have been eyeing this project for it's sheer proximity to the mall and MRT , it's just a super hot location. It's a compact compact , really really compact unit. The living room comes with marbles , unfortunately the marbles used is a distinct brown colour with too many grains , doesn't have a pleasant look. The balcony is huge. The kitchen is spacious and nicely done too. The master bedroom is spacious and the master bedroom is nice too. The other bedrooms can only accommodate a single bed , which can be a drawback if you are looking for more living space. It's not a project I would consider because it's just too compact for my family's needs . The blocks are just too close to each other. 

Good luck to us !! Hope we find a suitable home soon... Well, have to find one soon , coz we have already sold our current unit  and have to move out by September.

Its a new drive from PM Narendra Modi , post a picture with your daughters. 

Well, the place isn't going to change overnight. I have two daughters and every time I go to India , I hear stupid people speaking out their stupid thoughts on girl child. These are well educated people , leading a comfortable middle class / middle upper class life who voice such opinions. I'm extremely perplexed and secretly curse them, a girl child may never be born in your family and you may never know what is it to have a girl child and so on (you definitely don't want to hear the trail end of the curse;)) 

A relative casually comments that you need to pray harder for a boy child , and I read somewhere that only if you pray that you want to give birth to God himself will you be gifted with a girl child. I smile and curse her. 

Another relative comments that my younger daughter being slightly hyperactive , should give me a taste of what a son is like. I smile and curse her too. 

The other day at my aunt's house warming , my little one was on my back playing uppu mootai(it's a silly game where the baby pretends to be a sack of rock salt and the adult trying to sell), as I was asking my aunt if she wants to buy and she was eagerly grabbing the pretend sack , another stupid female comments , who would want to buy a female baby ? Who would want to pay the dowry and marry her off? Sorry, I cursed her nice and hard. 

Every time I curse , I smile . All I wish for , is my daughters to grow up healthy and lead a comfortable life and be my little babies and be  in love with me as now as ever.
